Facon de la Noche Toledana x Negra Cak Wari

HD- A, ED-0, BAER +/+, Full scissors bite, Disproportionate dwarfism – N/N

The dog who taught us so much, and to whom we owe a great deal of who we are today. A foundation stone of V Znamení Slnka, the sire of our B and F litters and of other litters outside our kennel. The first male to show us what a true Dogo is.

His early socialisation began while we were still living in a flat in central Bratislava. He visited a nursery full of children and attended dog sport training sessions. When he entered his first hunting competition in 2019, facing fierce competition from leading breeders across Europe and their white working “machines”, we knew this was his calling. He took third place. It was unbelievable. Our hero had arrived. Quietly and humbly, we realised that an exceptional career had begun.

From his first training session at seven months old to his final competition in 2024, he was a dog who NEVER BACKED DOWN. D´jango was never afraid, never hesitated and never turned away. He never got injured or barked; he knew exactly what to do and when. He never let us down.

He stood on the podium at every competition. He defeated tough opponents whom we never hand-picked. He mentored many of the dogs who are shaping us today. He helped shape Macumba, his inseparable partner. Working side by side, he mentored his sons and daughters, young Cariño, Alma, his grandchildren and even completely unrelated dogs who needed an experienced guide beside them. He became the true alpha male of our kennel, always calm and focused on the task.

He became an inseparable part of Anička’s life — her protector, who would do anything for her, just as she would for him. Now, in his later years at the age of nine, he is enjoying retirement. One of Europe’s most successful hunting dogs of his generation is resting on the sofa. Like a godfather, he watches the achievements of his descendants and looks forward to those still to come.

No one will ever replace him, but he has fulfilled his role. He will remain in many people’s hearts forever and become a legend of our breed.
